Is RICOCHET Anti-Cheat Different in Modern Warfare 4?

Closed thread Closed by archive

Been reading about MW4's anti-cheat system and noticed Activision is putting a lot of emphasis on RICOCHET.

I know it uses kernel-level protection on PC, but is that the only part of the system?

Also, does it monitor anything when the game isn't running? Trying to understand what actually happens in the background.

Nope, there's more to it than the kernel driver. Activision describes server-side detection, investigations and other security measures too.

Interesting. I thought it was basically just the driver.

The official documentation says the PC driver operates while you're playing a protected game and shuts down after you exit.

It's still worth reading the privacy and security documentation instead of relying on random Reddit comments.

Also enable 2FA. That's just common sense for any account you care about.

Good point. Thanks. I bookmarked the Modern Warfare 4 ban risks guide for the enforcement side of this.
