The game has already had a few changes since launch, and I'm wondering how external tools are handling the updates.
Do these tools normally need a new version after every game patch, or does it depend on what the update changes?
Not looking for random claims that everything is undetected lol. Just trying to understand how compatibility is maintained.

Replies are closedDepends entirely on the update. A small UI change and a major game executable update aren't the same thing.
Exactly. People see a game update and immediately assume every external program is broken.
So checking the actual supported version is more important than just seeing that the software launches?
Yep. Launching successfully doesn't prove every feature works correctly.
Also don't trust someone saying "100% working" without any current version information. That phrase gets thrown around way too much.
Would be nice if software pages actually displayed their last compatibility update instead of making people guess. I still check the Modern Warfare 4 cheats page and check MW4 compatibility notes first.
